So for the last couple of months all of my time at school has revolved around options. Options day, careers fair, options day and lots of lots of leaflets and booklets to look through. If anyone's choosing there options at the moment here's some tips😊
- Don't let anyone pressure you into choosing something you don't want to do. If you won't enjoy it then don't do it. Parents and friends can often pressure you however it's not their life and you should be free to choose what you want.
- If your friends are doing a certain subject and want you to take it with them, again if you don't want to dont do it. Just because your friend is studying it, it doesn't mean you have to.
- Be prepared. Especially if your taking 'arty' subjects like art and design or photography be prepared for the coursework and portfolios you'll have to make that will come with it. If you know it's gonna be too much pressure and your going to be too stressed then be careful of what your letting yourself into.
- English Baccalaureate. These subjects will be considered for college/sixth form and university so if your willing to take a language and a humanity then your practically there as the others are core subjects. You don't have to, however without knowing about the Baccalaureate I was willing to take those subjects anyway!
